FAAB Watch
Big Spenders
Vince spent $36 FAAB in Week 2 on Curtis Samuel, Jaylen Warren, and Dontrell Hillard.
Bidding Wars
There were 3 bids for Curtis Samuel of $15, $11, and $10.
There were 2 bids for Jahan Dotson. Both bids were $9 and the higher waiver priority got the claim.
This Week’s List
Carson Wentz (QB - WAS)
Carson Wentz is QB4 after 2 weeks with 60.5 fantasy points. The 3 QBs ahead of him are Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and Jalen Hurts. These QBs were drafted early and for good reason.
Wentz plays the Eagles next week, cue up the revenge game narrative. Wentz will have extra motivation to throw touchdowns instead of interceptions.
The Philly defense looked solid on MNF against the Vikings. But they also gave up 35 points to the Lions in Week 1. So I’m not sure what to make of this defense. Even if the Commanders fall behind, I can see Wentz chucking the ball in garbage time and racking up the fantasy points.
Garrett Wilson (WR - NYJ)
Garrett “G” Wilson leads the Jets with 22 targets after 2 weeks. He has shown that he has the talent to turn that volume into production. He is definitely Joe Flacco’s favorite receiver. I expect him to be Zach Wilson’s favorite when he returns.
The Jets are home against the Bengals next week. The Bengals defense rank in the middle of the pack for points allowed. If the Jets can put up numbers against the Browns, I don’t see why they can’t do it against the Bengals.
Jakobi Meyers (WR - NE)
Jakobi Meyers is outpacing Davante Parker on targets and receiving yards after 2 weeks. Meyers has 13 catches on 19 targets and 150 yards. He is clearly the most used receiver on this team. If Mac Jones and the Patriots offense can turn it around, I see Meyers being a big part of it.
Tyler Lockett (WR - SEA)
I feel like everyone in the league has had Lockett on their team at some point. He’s still the 2nd receiver for the Seahawks. And Geno Smith has proven that he is competent in running the Seattle offense. The Seahwks play Atlanta next week, who gave up an average of 29 points to their opponents.
Best Thing I Saw This Week
There were so many awesome plays from the huge comebacks in Week 2. But my favorite play of the week has to be the Kyler Murray scramble for the 2 point conversion. He was running around in the backfield for over 20 seconds and traveled more than 84 yards according to Next Gen Stats.
