Getting Past Being Sick
I was sick last week and also had a weekend trip in LA, so I didn’t make enough time to put out my weekly update. I hope all my loyal reader(s) forgive me and enjoy this week’s reads.
What I’ve Read:
How to Say “No’ When It Matters Most (or “Why Im Taking a Long ‘Startup Vacation’”) | Tim Ferriss
Tim Ferriss lives up to his nickname of the human guinea pig with this post. He goes through the fear setting routine outlined in The 4-Hour Workweek using his current situation. It makes for a good read and forced me to reconsider my goals and fears.
Terry Gross and the Art of Opening Up | NYTimes Magazine
This refreshing profile of Terry Gross brought back memories of listening to Fresh Air. I’ve always admired her (and Ira Glass’) interviewing skills; she is able to bring out the fascinating and intimate stories from her interviewees. I enjoyed how the writer wraps up the piece by following advice gained from the interview.
