Thursday Thoughts - 05/26/2022
In this short newsletter, I share the most interesting things that I’ve read, heard, and/or watched over the past week.
What I’ve Listened to:
Twelve and a Half | Gary Vaynerchuk
Twelve and a Half is Gary Vee’s latest book on emotional intelligence. He goes over 13 emotional skills that lead to a successful professional and personal life. The traits that stuck out to me were accountability, gratitude, curiosity, and kind candor. I liked that Gary Vee runs through scenarios and demonstrates how a combination of traits could be used to handle each situation.
I recommend the audiobook because Gary Vee often goes off script and adds insight that’s not found in the written copy.
What I’ve Bought:
Tomcat Press N Set Mouse Trap
We discovered mice in our house earlier in the week. So I picked up a couple of these traps to contain the problem. The traps were easy to bait and set up. I used peanut butter as the bait because it was on hand.
I was surprised to find that these traps work well and quickly. I left one in the kitchen and another just outside the garage door overnight. I woke up to find both traps triggeredß with a mouse in it.
What I’m Pondering:
“The best revenge is not to be like that.”
Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
