Leon's List - 2024 Week 14
Leon’s List is a weekly post about waiver wire players I’m keeping an eye on.
I was feeling under the weather last week and did not manage to get out a newsletter. I’m sure everyone still made great waiver wire picks.
The Final Week
We’re down to the last week of the regular season. If I did my math correctly, Alan has already clinched 1st place. Congrats to him!
That also means this is the last Leon’s List for the 2024 NFL season. I hope everyone enjoyed my writing.
This week on the list, I’m looking ahead to players that will make an impact in the fantasy playoffs. I’m focused on ease of schedule and handcuffs.
Here’s my list:
Aidan O’Connell (QB - LV)
Aidan O’Connell had an impressive first game back from injury. He threw for 340 yards and 2 touchdowns against a stout Kansas City defense.
O’Connell faces easier defenses for the rest of the fantasy football season, with games against Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Jacksonville, and New Orleans.
I think he’s worth a pickup if you are desperate for a quarterback.
Isaac Guerendo (RB - SF)
It’s been a tough year for the Niners’ running back room. And it just got worse.
Both CMC and Jordan Mason were put on IR on Monday. This leaves Isaac Guerendo as the starting running back for the rest of the fantasy football season. He scored at least 10 fantasy points in the two games where he was given 10 carries or more.
Guerendo could help someone win the league championship. I think he is worth spending a ton of FAAB on.
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (WR - TEN)
Westbrook-Ikhine had a sneaky good last 6 games. He has average about 13 points per game over that stretch.
Tennesse also has a decent schedule down the stretch. They play Jacksonville twice, Cincinnati, and Indy. Those teams are not know for having stellar defenses.
