Leon's List - 2024 Week 11
Leon’s List is a weekly post about waiver wire players I’m keeping an eye on.
4 To Go
There’s 4 weeks left in the fantasy football season. This is a great time to look at the standings and see how everyone is positioned heading into the playoffs.
Alan is in sole possession of first place with a record of 8-2. Right behind him are Dyrk and Tyler at 7-3. Dyrk and Tyler play each other this week. This will be a crucial game for seeding and possibly catching Alan.
After the top 3, there are six teams within 2 games of each other. It’s going to be a tight race to see who gets the remaining playoff spots.
Friendly reminder, the trade deadline for the league is Saturday (11/16).
I’m in the market for a quarterback if anyone is looking to trade. 😉
Here’s my list for Week 11:
Will Levis (QB - TEN)
Will Levis scored 20(!) fantasy points last week. He was the 8th highest scoring QB. That is better than Patrick Mahomes, Russell Wilson, and Justin Herbert.
It was also Levis’ first game this season without an interception. Maybe he learned to limit his mistakes in his three weeks off.
Our league is notoriously thin on QBs. So Levis might be a decent pickup heading into the final stretch of the season.
Audric Estime (RB - DEN)
Audric Estime is a 5th round rookie from Notre Dame.
Estime led the Broncos’ running backs with 14 carries against the Chiefs last week. He gained 53 yards with those carries for an average of 3.8 yards per rush.
Other than Week 1, Bo Nix hasn’t thrown more than 36 times in a game. The Broncos want to run the ball and lean on their defense.
I like that Estime is the RB1 on a team that’s going to play hard to make the playoffs.
Gus Edwards (RB - LAC)
Gus Edwards returned from IR for the Chargers last week.
Edwards got 10 carries to JK Dobbins’ 15. He rushed for 55 yards on those carries.
Similar to Cam Akers last week, I like Edwards as a handcuff to Dobbins. It seems like the Chargers are using more of a RB committee while both Edwards and Dobbins are healthy.
If Dobbins does go down, Edwards will get a ton of run. The Chargers, under Jim Harbaugh, like to run the ball a ton. They are also trying to lock up a wildcard playoff spot and will be playing hard the rest of the way.
Mike Williams (WR - PIT)
What did Mike Tomlin say when he found Russell Wilson working at the Steelers’ cafeteria?
“Finally, someone actually let Russ cook!”
I asked Claude AI for a joke about Russell Wilson cooking again and this is what I got. It’s not the best but it made me chuckle.
Anyways, the point I’m trying to make is that Russ looks good as the Steelers’ QB. I think Mike Williams will thrive on this team and with Russ.
Williams caught a 32 yard pass for a touchdown despite only being in 7 offensive snaps. I expect his snaps and production to grow as he gets integrated into the offense.
