Leon's List - 2023 Week 6

Leon’s List is a weekly post about waiver wire players I’m keeping an eye on.

Desmond Ridder (QB - ATL)

Desmond Ridder threw for over 300 passing yards for the first time in his career last week. He also scored two touchdowns, one passing and one rushing. This might be the spark that gets him and Atlanta offense going. Ridder goes up against the Commanders this week, who gave up 40 points to Justin Fields last Thursday.

Emari Demercado (RB - ARI)

James Conner left last week’s game with a knee injury. Cardinals coach, Jonathan Gannon, reported earlier today that Conner could miss “a little bit of time”. The Cardinal’s second running back, Keaontay Ingram, missed Sunday’s game with a neck injury.

This leaves Demercado as the next man up. He flashed some talent on Sunday, finishing with 45 rushing yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. He is worth a little bit of FAAB given how grim the running back position looks this year.

KJ Osborn (WR - MIN)

Justin Jefferson is undergoing the evaluation process for his right hamstring as of this writing. I expect additional targets to Jordan Addison, TJ Hockenson, and KJ Osborn if JJ is unable to play on Sunday. This makes Osborn a great streaming option for the FLEX spot.

Cole Kmet (TE - CHI)

Justin Fields is finding his rhythm with great offensive outputs in his last two games. Cole Kmet has a been a huge beneficiary of this. He scored 24 and 13 fantasy points in these games.

Chicago has a cushy schedule in their next three games against the Vikings, Raiders, and Chargers.

Logan Thomas (TE - WAS)

Logan Thomas was peppered with 11 targets last week. He caught 9 of those looks for 16 fantasy points. I believe Eric Bieniemy and the Commanders’ offense is starting to warm up. Howell looks competent, which is more than I can say about other young quarterbacks.
